DescriptionLinda Powell, a member of the graphic-design studio at Herman Miller, created this poster and the product brochure and specification catalogues mentioned the lower margin. It promotes some of the public seating and office chairs designed for the famous Swiss furniture firm Vitra. In 1957, Vitra had acquired the rights to manufacture Herman Miller furniture for the European market and in 1967 began producing its own range of furniture in collaboration with cutting-edge designers like Wolfgang Muller-Deisig. He designed the public seating and work chairs in this poster as well as the first chair in Vitra’s range of office chairs—the Vitramat of 1976. By the time this poster was produced, Herman Miller had also obtained the rights to manufacture Vitra designs. On View
