DescriptionLinda Powell, the designer of this poster, joined the small graphic-design team at Herman Miller in 1976. She also created the product-specification catalog mentioned in the lower margin here. The austere composition in black and white emphasizes the high-tech and contemporary design of the reconfigured Kevi chair to a new audience. This hugely successful office chair had originally been created in 1958 by Danish architect Jørgen Rassmusen for Knoll, and reflected his belief that “The better you sit, the more you get done.” In addition to its own ranges of contemporary furniture, Herman Miller also manufactures collections of classic furniture pieces created for other firms.
