DescriptionThis poster promoting the third Superman film is dominated by the evil supercomputer that is ultimately destroyed by the superhero. This film was far less successful than its predecessors. Numerous variants of John Berkey’s design exist in a huge number of languages, some with additional slogans. Berkey established his career as an illustrator of cover art for science-fiction books and created the poster art for many blockbuster movies of the 1970s and ‘80s, among them The Towering Inferno (1974), King Kong (1976), Star Trek (1979), and Dune (1984).
