DescriptionThis composition, in the style of a political campaign poster of the day, promotes an X-rated comedy film featuring the porn star Linda Lovelace, who had become famous in 1972 for her role in Deep Throat, the most profitable porn film of all time. This campy movie follows Lovelace as she pursues a fictional grassroots presidential campaign. The standard lettering and patriotic red, white, and blue of the design are subverted by a photograph at right of Lovelace herself, her nudity only partly concealed by the American flag.
