DescriptionEladio Rivadulla Martínez’s generally rather lurid silkscreen poster for the Argentinian-Paraguayan film The Thunder Among the Leaves features scenes from this torrid tale about a strike at a saw mill in Paraguay and the sexual tensions around the boss’s young wife, played by Argentine actress Isabel Sarli. Martinez silhouettes Sarli’s nude form in the foreground as she bathes in a lake in the film’s most scandalous scene. The film was the first in Latin-American cinema to show full-frontal nudity and has since become a cult classic.On View
