DescriptionThis subversive Dutch poster by an unknown designer mocks Beatrix, the new queen of the Netherlands, crowned in 1980 (she abdicated in 2013), for her complacency and statutory privilege. The offset lithograph is based on a photograph of Queen Beatrix waving to her subjects (and, according to the poster, oblivious to their economic struggles): Just wave to those who survive on the minimum, I'm fine with my f.997.00 (tax free).
