DescriptionPoster Prints was a publisher and store at the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. During the 1960s and ‘70s, it was possible to drop in to this suburban shop and buy photographic and illustrated posters of rock and pop stars like Janis Joplin and Jarvis Cocker, movie stars like Peter Fonda and Candice Bergen, radical political figures like Che Guevara, and posters promoting feminism and other social-justice issues. This poster from 1970 shows a seated, nude, androgynous-looking couple representing the concept of "unisex," a term that had only been coined in the 1960s and soon became widely prevalent.
