DescriptionAs in many posters for the Pennsylvania Railroad, this image showcases the towers of the Financial District. Shown from the left are the Standard Oil Building at 26 Broadway, the City Bank- Farmers Trust Building at 20 Exchange Place, the Cities Service Building at 70 Pine Street, the Manhattan Company Building at 40 Wall Street, the Irving Trust Company Building at 1 Wall Street, and the Bankers Trust Company Building at 14 Wall Street. The foreground is dominated by one of the Pennsylvania Railroad’s car-float operations in New York that moved freight to and from its yards in New Jersey to Manhattan by water.
