DescriptionThis text-heavy composition comes from a series of Argentinian posters promoting Firestone tires. In this case it alerts “Mr. Motorist” to the company’s new, tubeless tires. Tubeless tires were standard in most new cars by the mid-1950s, a significant technological development for the auto industry. The elimination of the inner tube made tires more resistant to damage and loss of pressure, thus making cars safer, as well as more comfortable and efficient.
