DescriptionPhilips was one of the major manufacturers of the televisions that became increasingly popular during the 1950s. Other advertisements for its televisions also incorporated versions of this scene showing a fish on the screen that appears so realistic that it attracts the attention of a real cat in the same room. The slogan "c'est plus sur" (it's more reliable) was also used on other advertising posters for Philips televisions as well as for its record players and radios.
