DescriptionThe designer of this poster, Technical Sergeant John Falasco, was stationed at Camp Wheeler during World War II. He had been a graphic designer before the war. In this, one of several training posters he designed while there, he provided a detailed technical image of the Browning Automatic Rifle (B. A. R.). While this rifle had been used during World War I by the United States and other countries as a weapon designed to be carried by infantrymen, during World War II, the U.S. Army began to use it as a light machine gun, firing it from a bipod like the one seen here on the far left.
