DescriptionDuring the 1950s, the French government launched the Sante Sobriete (Health Sobriety) campaign, with the aim of limiting the daily alcohol consumption of each citizen to no more than a liter of wine per day. This was one of many posters Fore produced for the campaign, which features the slogan "The pleasure of drinking only lasts a moment!" beneath the gray, miserable features of a man with a hangover superimposed over his pink, healthy head the night before as he cheerfully knocks back a glass of red wine.On View
