DescriptionThis poster was designed in 2009 by Lyuba Tomova of the Poster House graphic design studio in Bulgaria as a satire on the famous advertising posters of the Swedish vodka brand Absolut. Tomova entered it in a competition held by Absolut for a new campaign intended to promote the product in Bulgaria. The poster, featuring a photograph of an old-fashioned floor brush and the tagline “Absolut Cleanness,” referencing the company’s historic assertion of “purity” and its use of the product name in all of its taglines, was not chosen. However, it was selected and printed especially for Poster House in New York and featured in a 2009 exhibition at the Museum House of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. The exhibition, titled Poster House - 15:15, included 15 posters by each of the studio’s founders: Lyuba Tomova and Nenko Atanasov.
